International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)

Connecting Communities

GEEC  International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) aims to educate others through real life, hands on experiences that impact change on an individual and global level through one adventure at a time. We recognise the importance of youth exchanges as a key component to building bridges between the U.S.A. and other countries around the world.
The GEEC engages service learners in various ways for participation in foreign travel to especially gain insight of the cultural perspectives of others and enhance their appreciation for their own career goals.  The ISEP is designed to broaden the awareness of student learners with respect to their connection to the global community and their potential contributions to it.  The EP would encourage students in various ways, from maintaining strategic interaction through online curriculums to hands-on learning through foreign travel to create educational opportunities with a lasting impact.

The "A"s of STEAM
Design Challenge

September 19, 2020

Please help us make a difference in STEAM education by encouraging our international group of students from Los Angeles to South Africa.  The "A"s of STEAM Design Challenge is designed to motivate Architecture competition amongst the students as Rice University Architecture students (Recess) teaches them "Design / Build" principles.

Our present goal is to award the top 3 finalist with a monetary token of motivation towards a continued pursuit of a degree in one of the many STEAM fields.  Help us pick the 1st ($5,000), 2nd ($2,500) and 3rd ($1,000) place winners that submit the best rendering based upon the attached lesson.  The winnings will go towards scholarships for the 3 students.  So please make your 1st, 2nd and 3rd place choices and make a donation if you can. (Also share this campaign with others)

This campaign is sponsored by South Union Community Development Inc. / The STEM Foundation that has sent over 50 students to college  / university the last 10 years.  Thanks in advance for your vote and contribution to this cause that we call "sowing seeds of success" to youth through exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering, "Architecture, Arts, Agriculture" and Math careers.
